Social Prescribing Plus

Hello everyone,

After closing over the summer holidays we are delighted to announce that we are now open again offering support across different aspects of life, such as housing, education, employment, health and more.

We have Arabic speaking staff available to support you with cultural awareness and experience of different beliefs, faiths and diverse communities. We are office-based but are flexible to work across Brighton and Hove to meet you at home or in your community to make sure that your support needs are identified and met.

We are fully committed to provide an anti-racist, anti-oppressive and non-judgemental help to everyone who needs it.

We are here for you, to hold your hand and to guide you through the UK system, make you feel safe and assured that you are not alone and we are here to support you.

بعد اغلاق خدماتنا خلال فتره االعطله الصيفيه، يسرنا معاودة فتح ابوابنا لكم مرة اخرى لجميع الافراد ذوى الحوجه للمساعدات المختلفه كالسكن ،التعليم ،العمل، والعلاج وهلم جره. ارضاؤكم غايتنا، لذلك تم توفير عدد مناسب من العاملين لدينا  لتلبيه احتياجاتكم وضمان جوده خدماتنا.

نحن نؤمن باهميه تحقيق العدل والمساوة بين الجميع ، ومناهضة القمع والتمييزبين افراد المجتمع ، ونقوم بتطبيق ذلك من خلال تقديم العون والمساعدة لمختلف الافراد من مختلف المجتمعات والثقافات.

What is Social Prescribing Plus?

Social Prescribing Plus is a free service in Brighton and Hove that links people to community services and groups to improve health and well-being, find new interests and hobbies and improve confidence and self-esteem.  We support people to identify and access local groups and services and to find information and services relevant to them. The service is funded by the NHS Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group and focuses on non-clinical issues which affect health and wellbeing.

TDC are proud to be partnering with Together Co to deliver this service to people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

Social Prescribing will help refer you to services which can help you feel better. These might include:

Groups, befriending and social activities
Housing benefits, financial support and advice
Employment, training and volunteering
Healthy lifestyle advice and physical activity

The service is confidential and provided by fully trained social prescribers.


How can I access Social Prescribing Plus?

If you are from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background please get in touch and our social prescribers will:

☑️ Contact you for an initial phone conversation
☑️ Spend time to understand the issues you’re facing
☑️ Discuss a variety of local services to support you – free of charge services if possible
☑️ Help you access the services to get the support you need
