Healthy Neighbourhood Fund Brighton

Every year TDC supports community organisations to give out small pots of Public Health funding known as the Healthy Neighbourhood Fund. 

This funding is a great way for people to develop health and wellbeing related community activities, projects and groups which meet any of the following health priorities:

  • Healthy Eating
  • Active Living
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Ageing Well
  • Maintaining health on a low income
  • Raising awareness about key health messages (e.g. on smoking, alcohol or sexual health)

TDC administers the Healthy Neighbourhood Fund in the following areas: 

Friday 13th Sept – Tarner area, Albion Hill, Carlton Hill, Edward Street, Phoenix Estate,

Friday 20th Sept – Moulsecoomb & Bevendean, Bates Estate,

Monday 30th SeptHollingdean, Saunders Park, Portland Rd area – deadline extended to 14th October

Monday 7th October – Woodingdean – deadline extended until 15th October

Wednesday 30th October – North & South Portslade

Thursday 31st October – Pankhurst and Craven Vale and Coldean

Hollingbury date has not yet been announced. Details to follow once available. 

In 2019, small grants of up to £500 are available (depending on the area) and most are currently open to applications from small community groups. The first deadline for this year is Friday 13th September
