Job Title:  Community Engagement Worker                                                                                                        

Hours: 21 to 37 hours per week (work pattern flexible)

Salary Scale: £24k - £27k  pro-rata + 6% pension.

Holiday: 25 days a year, plus an extra 3 days at Christmas, and all Bank Holidays. Pro-rata.

Location: TDC office - Community Base, BN1. With flexible home working as agreed.

We are recruiting for a Community Engagement Worker to join the fantastic Communities Team at TDC to support people in Brighton and Hove to engage in services, activities and community groups

 This role will suit someone who enjoys working both independently and within a team with the ability to share information in an accessible and meaningful way with individuals and groups.

It will include gathering insights, working to set targets, working with community beneficiaries and other partners, communicating clearly with community members and maintaining confidentiality.

While we are looking for some specific skills, we are much more interested in attitude, personal qualities and passion. You will gain great experience in this role working with the broad range of skills within TDC’s Communities Team.

We are recruiting for an Office Administrator to join the brilliant TDC Central Team to provide administrative support across the organisation and the smooth daily running of the TDC office

This role will suit someone who is proactive and organised with great attention to detail. TDCs central team works closely with Delivery departments and the Senior Leadership Team so the role will be varied with lots of learning opportunities.

It will include supporting the smooth daily running of the office, coordinating events, managing bookings and supporting staff with daily tasks.  We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills, clear written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage a responsive workload.

While we are looking for some specific skills, we are much more interested in attitude, personal qualities and passion. You will gain great experience in this role working with the broad range of skills within TDC’s Communities Team.

Community Insights Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Business Management graduate to work on an innovative project with Brighton based charity, Trust for Developing Communities and the University of Brighton.

Overview

Job Title:  Community Insights Manager.

Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb

Salary: £30,382 to £33,936 per annum. Plus a personal development budget of £2,000 p/a (pro rata)

Contract Length: 28 months

The Trust for Developing Communities (TDC) seeks to strengthen its community-research initiatives. This involves expanding participatory action research work and enhancing training programs for individuals involved in conducting research within and beyond the organisation. The aim is to enhance the impact of TDC’s social change programmes.

This position is a 28-month fixed term contract as a KTP Associate, to deliver a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project.
