Trustees have an incredibly important job. Not only do they decide the direction of the charity and take responsibility for our work, they also volunteer their time and skills to help us develop our projects and raise awareness of our campaigns.
Our 12-strong Board of Trustees carries a wide range of skills and experience and we are fortunate to have a good balance of business professionals, members of the community and people with a good understanding of community development work.
A third of our Trustees retires each year by rotation. We welcome them to stand for re-election if they are able to, and we regularly approach new people to join us if they have something special to offer. We also encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch.
We’d especially like to hear from you if you’re based in one of the communities we help, or have experience of helping similar communities; or if you have experience and connections that can help our organisation with networking, fundraising, campaigning or advocacy.
We are currently looking for new trustees! If you have the skills, experience or interest to help us grow, and would like to find out more about becoming a Trustee, please contact us.
