In the East of Brighton we foster community led public & private partnership projects such as the East Brighton Neighbourhood Action Plan.
We work with some amazing community partners, including Bristol Estate Leaseholders & Tenants Association, the Due East Neighbourhood Council, the Wellsbourne Health Centre, the Hawks café, the Robert Lodge Project, Java Café and Woodingdean Community Space and the Whitehawk Inn.
We offer information, advice, fundraising, training, engagement work and project planning. We also nurture the growth of new & existing small community groups and projects and where groups share development needs we can offer bespoke community learning courses.
TDC started working and delivering in East Brighton in April 2020 with a focus on Whitehawk, Bristol Estate and Manor Farm. We will slowly be expanding into the rest of East which includes: Woodingdean, Rottingdean Coastal through to Saltdean. If you work with a group in these areas or have an idea for a Project or activity in your Community, do get in touch if you need support.
To help community & public service collaborate we support open local networks. What's known as Hub Networking sessions are regular events for service providers to meet one another, share information and find ways to work collaboratively. They normally take place in East Brighton on the 3rd Thursday of every other month.
