More about our Projects

“Our Community Participation Worker has been instrumental in ensuring that the Thursday morning Knitting Group is growing and attracting Volunteers and Participants from all over Brighton. The Group is benefiting its members by its warmth and social inclusion and contributing to their wellbeing whilst becoming self-funding due to the sale of some excellent items. After some key volunteers at New Larchwood have left during 2015 due to illness, retirement and locating F/T employment Activities had hit a slump. Our Community Participation Worker is addressing this by expanding the input of Occupational Therapy Students from the University of Brighton who will be supporting the revival of dormant activities and the formation of new ones from September through to early 2016 by which time it is hoped new Volunteers will have been attracted.”
