Scoping Study
The Trust also offers consultancy and research services to suit organisations' individual needs within the wider context of community engagement and involvement. These commissions can include devising monitoring and evaluation systems, organisational development and strategic guidance, supporting and developing large scale funding bids or similar projects around the delivery of community engagement.
As an example of this work, the Trust carried out a scoping report of eight areas of the city between May - August 2011. The areas chosen for this piece of work originate from Brighton & Hove City Council's (BHCC), Community Development Commissioning Needs Assessment‟ (Dec 2010), and have statistical (or previous research) evidence of need. Although some of the areas have had particular service provider input, been the focus of research (including CD consultation) or have had some sort of on-going support, none have been part of the BHCC community development commissioning programme.
