Consultancy and Research 

 

The Trust also offers consultancy and research services to suit organisations' individual needs within the wider context of community engagement and involvement.

In the past few years this has included;

  • research into the availability of community buildings across the whole city - commissioned by the Local Authority
  • reporting on 'infrastructure needs' for local neighbourhoods - commissioned by a Local Strategic Partnership
  • researching community responses to plans for a large housing and retail development - for a property development company
  • producing a implementation plan for work based learning and assessment - for a local university
  • consultation into, and production of, a Community Centre Feasibility Study - for a local community organisation
  • consulting on, and community involvement in, detailed plans for redeveloping local parks - for a Local Authority
  • consultation on and preparation of, Neighbourhood Action Plans - for local community groups and a Local Authority
  • devising structures for representation and Terms of Reference for local partnership bodies - for other voluntary organisations

Other commissions can include: devising monitoring and evaluation systems, organisational development and strategic guidance, supporting and developing large scale funding bids or similar projects around the delivery of community engagement.
