Our Current Activities:

The Trust continues to support local Community Groups such as Portslade Community Forum and Portslade Local Action Team.

Residents at Wickhurst Rise Maisonettes continue to strive for more improvements to their estate including installation of raised baeds and picnic benches for a community growing project.

Portslade Community Forum Committee has been supported with committee skills training and to form and implement a Forum Action Plan.

Support was also provided to residents to organise Picnic and Play in the Park, a great community event for all held in June 2010 and Portslade Marafun held in Vale Park in April to coincide with the inaugural Brighton Marathon.

Achievements:
  • Supporting the Portslade Community Forum with the distribution of Healthy Neighbourhood Funding and also supporting the panel in the decision making process
  • Supporting the Forum to organiseĀ 'Portslade Marafun' in Vale Park attended by around 400 people
  • Supporting the Easthill Park Group to secure funding and volunteers to stage the annual Picnic and Play in the Park, event which was attended by over 800 people
