Testimonials:

"The local Councillors have worked with Dave Allen for some months now since he took over the role of Community Development Worker and Forum Co-ordinator. I have always found Dave very easy to work with and share his clear commitment to the neighbourhood, and to see positive outcomes for all residents. His breadth of interest has been very helpful, and he understands at a detailed level the issues, problems and opportunities that are present in the Portland Road and Clarendon neighbourhood.

We look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.

Councillor Brian Oxley

“It’s very important for us older people in Clarendon to have their activities .. without community development work nothing would happen.”

Flo Singleton

Clarendon resident and Vallance Newsletter group

“The SPARKS group – Stoneham Park Association of Residents and Kids - gets a lot of help with its work for the park.  Having a say in the Forum gets the park’s issues understood by those with the final responsibility and it’s opened my eyes to the wider community picture.”

Kevin Moore

Chair of SPARKS

When I started volunteering with Poets Corner Community Society I was shocked by the amount of community care and involvement. So much so I have spent the last two years being as involved and productive as possible. TDC has supported me all of the way through.

Adam Palk

PCCS volunteer and new WICO student

The TDC enables ordinary folk (residents) like myself to be active in their own communities, irrespective of any long term health condition or personal circumstances (I am a parent carer). Through the Forum that TDC supports I am able to have a say in how our local and city wide community is governed and the delivery of its services back to the communities.  This enables me to feel stronger, less isolated and more connected to where I live and able to effectively contribute to my community in a rich and meaningful way.
