Testimonials:

"Thank you for the hard work that went into organising the Health Day... how much I enjoyed it. Also the wonderful food - it really didn't look like healthy food!! It was most enjoyable"

Barbara, Bevendean resident

"I have been Vicar for the Bevendean community for some 6 years, and in this time have become so aware that one of the major challenges in our area is the support and encouragement of children and young people:as an area in the top 4% of Urban Deprivation in the country, it's recognised by the local community & Brighton and Hove City Council (to whom I have written emphasising this issue) that targeted youth work is essential. The TDC workers are key in this: the variety of projects they have run, from drug awareness and drop in youth clubs to dance workshops and Fun Days are really answering a pressing local need. Continuity is essential - the trust and community contacts they have built up over the years are invaluable. I strongly support any funding bid that would keep them with us: our community would be really damaged if we lost them!"

John Wall (Vicar, Moulsecoomb and Bevendean Ward) (2012)

"I like that we get to choose what activities we want to do and we apply for the money to do them ourselves. We even advertise the activities by making our own posters. I like being part of the group, because I get to meet new people, do fun things and there is always pizza at every meeting!"

Young Woman, Aged 14, Bevendean Activities Group (As appears in Spring Edition of the Bevendean Bulletin, 2009)

"A quick message to say thank you so much to Tony for all his support and advice over the last 6 months or so. He has been a fantastic 'mentor' and I have learned so much and developed new skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my professional career - and further. I thank him for taking the time to help me out - I know he is a very busy guy!

I would also like you to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone else at the Trust and on the Bevendean Buildings group. I have met some truly lovely people"

Hannah Leask, Bevendean Volunteer (January 2009 - June 2009)

"I wanted to let you and your colleagues know just how delighted we were to have Polly working with us.  She carried on a tradition started by Adam of wholehearted involvement with our team and the young people we work and play with.  We hope and trust they both enjoyed their time with us as much as we did and wish them well in their developing careers.

Our grateful thanks to TDC for making them available to us."

Vince Wild, Becca (formerly Bevendean Children's Centre Association) (October 2010)

"TDC is able to offer a wide range of activities to young people I'm working with in the local area, and helps me to refer them onto something that diverts them away from anti social behaviour and crime."

Carleen Davis - Youth Crime Prevention Worker, Moulsecoomb & Bevendean (2012)
