Our Current Activities:
The Trust continues to support local Community Groups such as Portslade Community Forum and Portslade Local Action Team.
Residents at Wickhurst Rise Maisonettes have been supported to set up a residents group leading to the implementation of much needed improvements to the area.
Work is in progress to organise a newsletter training course with an aim to create a newsletter for the whole of Portslade. Support is also provided to residents to organise Picnic and Play in the Park, a great community event for all held in June 2009.
Achievements:
- Supporting the Portslade Community Forum with the distribution of Healthy Neighbourhood Funding and also supporting the panel in the decision making process
- Supporting the Forum to organise a Portslade Celebration Event to be held at Portslade Town Hall
- Supporting the Easthill Park Group to secure National Lottery Funding to stage the annual Picnic and Play in the Park, event which was attended by over 800 people. Preparation of the bid for this year's funding
- Supporting the constitution of the Wickhurst Rise Residents Association
